About Adan Lopez: Adán López Alemán is a Spanish expressionist artist, who was born in 1988 in Gran Canaria. He currently lives and works in Valencia, Spain. Ink is his preferred technique as he discovered he was able to transmit his message leaving a greater impact. As he had previous contact with watercolors, it was a natural step to start using this medium, developing his own style; An academic way of drawing mixed with loose strokes as seen in expressionism. It is this combination of realism and abstraction that creates the atmosphere or mood that is so characteristic in his paintings.
About Hector Abela: Hector Abela is an amazing photographer who resides in Lyon. We've met him in Montreal. He was here to take pictures of Pierre Lapoint and other famous Québec personalities.
Baku's testimonial: This project took a year to accomplish and involves artists from all over the globe. In 2019, Hector flew from Lyon to Montreal. We met for the first time and organized a shooting. His pictures were wonderfully great, we had a very nice time together. We then met Adan from Valencia via Instagram who agreed to make a wonderful portrait from one of Hector’s pictures. Adan’s work was so brilliant and complete, I have to admit, we were a little scared to paint over it. Although, we are not shy to say that we are quite happy with the result.
